LG Optimus G pro: Optimum specs, sheer luxury

LG Optimus G Pro is one of the coolest tablet or phablet to hit the Indian market from the design of LG Mobiles. Priced at 37,015 INR, the mobile is loaded with features, but will face steep competition from other renowned brands that manufacture Smartphones and tablets. The upgraded hardware and the revised 5.5 inch screen with full HD display are some of the major attention catchers for this phone.

The 5.5 inch screen is one of the brightest LG Optimus G Pro features and borderlines it between a phablet and a Smartphone. It is better to consider it a large smartphone. The bezel on the sides of the screen is extremely narrow, and the frontal glass panel bevels and curves before reaching the edges. The glass touch screen is encased in a plastic back cover. The edges are smooth and curved and it overall gives a good hand grip. The dimensions are 15002X76.1X9.4 mm. The home button is physically integrated in the body, and the back and Menu buttons appear on the end of the display. The home button displays different colours for notification. The right hand side of the phone houses the Power/Screen lock button. The Quick key and Volume control key are on the right hand side. The top portion houses the secondary microphone, Infrared blaster and the 3.5 inch headset jack. The bottom is the location for the microUSB port and also the primary microphone.

The camera is a 13 megapixel one and also has a LED flash to facilitate snapping pictures in bad light conditions. The lens is protected by a raised circular enclosure. It also supports 4G network for LTE 1800/2600-E988. The calls are managed by a micro SIM card that is slotted under the battery. The LG Optimus G pro also supports EDGE, GPRS, WLAN. It also has Bluetooth 4.0 with A2Dp, microUSB V2.0 support. It also has infrared connectivity and NFC also. The LG Optimus G Pro is available in 16 GB and 32 GB internal memory variant, with expandable memory ability of 64 GB. The chipset is Qualcomm APQ64T snapdragon 600, while the CPU is Quad core 1.7 GHz Krait 300. The GPU is an Adreno 320 and the RAM is a 2GB one. The phone is loaded with sensors like Accelerometer, proximity sensors, gyrometer and a compass.

The phone supports a lot of cross platform applications and JAVA. It also supports GPS and the operating system for the LG Optimus G Pro is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The battery is a 3140 mAh Li-ion battery, with more than 550 hours of standby time and 20 hours of talk time. The sound system of the phone is excellent and has a loudspeaker as well as Dolby sound enhancement.
