How big is Google? In some respects, it could be considered an entire country. Since its inception in the late ’90s, Google has quickly grown and expanded into a multi-billion dollar business, and it is still growing at rapid pace. Due to its popularity as a search engine, the company is so well-known that its name is practically synonymous with “Internet” and “World Wide Web.” Google is no longer just a company name; it’s also a verb. For many people, Googling is the first step in the process by which one browses the Internet.

However, Google is more than just a search engine. To put it lightly, Google now has a hand in most all things Internet related, including software, cloud computing and social media. But all of these things only contribute to the Internet giant’s biggest source of revenue: advertising. It is in this area that Goggle has literally become a world power.
